Asvaldsson 03-03-2022 02:57I never use Lvl 4 troops until this past Holmgang. After defending towers with Lvl 4 3 hr later I got Lvl 1 7 Flames. So definitely not in JOT, and doesnt have to be in Siege.

England 02-03-2022 14:31Got level 4 5 6 and 7 by seiging and healing after every hit... not been hit in any seige by an opponent just jot troops
Hope this helps only used t7s and t8s

gghgg 01-03-2022 22:481-8 can be done through "normal" fighting means. they will unlock with time. lvl 8 seems more complicated, stuck on 8 for a long time. killed over 300b all kinds of troops and lost all kinds of troops but nothing happens. any pointers appriciated

Ondrej 03-03-2022 13:43I was thinking the same, not getting it for weeks, but now got level 8 after totally insignificant SH defense where I simply loaded T8 and we were hit only by NPC.
I asked also other people who got it and nobody remembers anything special. It looks like it's still simply killing something, but requirements are way higher than previous levels.

Corky 24-03-2022 06:31My theory relates to the prize... bonus against T4, T5 & T6. Lvl 1 being kill T4, lvl 2 kill T5, lvl 3 kill T6, then lvl 4 is back to T4 and so on. So Lvl 8 is kill T5. This is done in SH's definitely... other towers, throne, not sure. But when you think about the troops you kill in the SH when attacking or defending, T5 is the least likely you'll face. So if lvl 8 is kill 10bil T5 in a SH, this could take a while.

Do you know what you was doing when you got lvl 1 or how many tr 28-02-2022 08:43Do you know what you was doing when you got lvl 1 or how many troops killed/lost? I did SH siege many times killing/losing many troops and never got lvl 1 til I went to Jot. Just saying what I have done and how I got/did before getting either level. Strating to look like a headcount loss/kill. I got zeroed of 1b t4 1b t5 & 1b t7 and other mixed troops equaling almost 5b some being scouts., but didn't get lvl 2 till I did the next SH siege then 3 hours later I got 2.

John 27-03-2022 14:51I just got level 1 and do not go to Jot. I had just taken down 4 M troops while pillaging and started (but did not complete) healing some level VII. Seems more likely that this completed an accumulation of kills/healing than that just killing the 4M alone was enough. Oh, I did forget to switch to battle gear and took down the 4M with my hero in scout gear and Wendla. Hard to think that is significant but who knows?

WilsonTheOne 09-03-2022 03:22Same. I did many SH sieges, tried some Towers of Furys. Nothing. Last time went to Jotunheim, got leveled (lost about 2 billion troops, mixed, 50 bil worth of influence). And boom, level 1. Seems again a combination of some things.

jhtemple@yahoo.com 27-02-2022 23:37I just got lvl 2 and have never lost anything in Jot , however I was defending SH using both lvl 4 and lvl 6 and Lvl 7 for some of the marches including losing a lot of scouts duiring one march (I had a repute for Calvary) I healed in between marches and was actually trying to get another Art of War level... still a mystery but I think Jot can be excluded

TheWolf 25-02-2022 01:35Finally got lvl 2 so looks like 1 is in Jot & 2 is in SH defense.
I haven't done anything other than SH D & send rss to SH. I did heal a few troops, almost forgot about that.

TheWolf 27-02-2022 20:16Well, lvl 1 was in Jot for me & lvl 2 was gotten doing SH defense. Could only be the headcount lost and troop type.

WilsonTheMad 23-02-2022 17:21Can agree. Have defended my SH for last couple of weeks with all kinds of tiers, have failed vs big hits and healed and so on. Doing only SH def wont give level 1.
